Sara Duran is an Ohio-based speculative fiction author whose stories explore environmental themes and feature diverse characters, with an emphasis on queer representation. She holds a BS in Biology, and her scientific background often shapes her approach to storytelling and informs the questions at the heart of her work. 

Sara is also an avid reader and digital artist who is usually happiest browsing a used bookstore or wandering through a natural history museum. She enjoys connecting with readers and writers on social media, where she shares insights (and the occasional meme) about her books with her nearly 20,000 followers. In addition to writing, Sara is an environmental quality manager, a volunteer submission reader for Uncharted Magazine, and a contracted beta reader with Beta Reader Bookings, LLC.
